Knitted Wool Cruiser
Filson’s famous cruiser jacket in bold check
Filson's Knitted Wool Cruiser takes the company’s classic Mackinaw Cruiser and reworks it as a knitted wool jacket with all the functional details intact. Originally designed for foresters working in the rain-soaked Pacific Northwest, this version brings that same rugged practicality to everyday wear. The bright checked pattern is loud enough to be seen from a distance (useful when you're working in the woods, less critical when you're walking the dog), and the thick wool blend blocks wind while staying breathable. The front pockets are larger on the left with layered utility compartments – genuine workwear detailing that's as useful now as it was a century ago. Around the back you’ve got a full-width reach-through pocket – originally meant for storing maps, but we stash a beanie and a pair of gloves in ours.

- Over the years, Filson's philosophy has never changed: Make sure it's the absolute best. Clinton Filson spent a lot of time talking to his customers and refining his designs to their specifications. So it's not surprising that the items that worked then still work today, over 120 years later. Comfort, protection and durability never go out of style.
